Hon. James Martin Third Judicial District Court

Bio:

Judge Martin was appointed to the bench by Richardson in July 2005.  He was elected in 2006 and retained in 2008 and 2014.

Education:

Judge Martin received his undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University in 1986 and his law degree from the University of New Mexico in 1991.

Work history:

Immediately prior to being appointed to the Third Judicial, Judge Martin ran the Las Cruces branch of the U.S. Attorney's Office.  Judge Martin worked at the U.S. Attorney's Office from 1991 to 2005.
