Work history:

Judge Bacon was appointed by Governor Bill Richardson in April 2010.  She was elected later that year and retained in 2014.

Prior to becoming a district court judge, Judge Bacon represented clients in litigation involving real estate, contracts, torts, and business disputes.  Judge Bacon, of Albuquerque, was a shareholder with Sutin, Thayer & Browne from 2005 to 2010. Previously she was a partner with Eaves, Bardacke, Baugh, Kierst & Larson from 1999 to 2005. Judge Bacon also worked as a law clerk for Judge Alarid at the New Mexico Court of Appeals from 1997 to 1999.  She is a past president of the state bar of New Mexico.
